Some months ago I read on houzz an article that shows how the graphic artist Shintaro Tanaka furnished the capsule of the Nakagin Capsule Tower, in Tokyo, where he lives. The building consists on 9 m² abitative units and has been designed by the architect Kisho Kurokawa and builded in the 1972.
The results of the work by Tanaka is characterized by aspects of functionality and essentiality. While I was reading the article I thinked how I would have furnished, which I love small spaces.
Excepted for the kitchen cabinet, the bedside and the closet, furnished and appliances are reproductions of existing models.
For what concerned the making of the scene, I modelled all the elements in 3ds max and created all the materials (texture included), and rendered with vray.
